XLCS Designs 15mm Rod Dog Bone Extender for Blackmagic PYXIS 6K Cages
Get more out of our direct-to-cage 15mm rods with these awesome “Dog Bones” that allow you to offset the rods by nearly an inch (2cm)! With multiple places to insert the Arri-style spacing pin, you can swing the arm of the Dog Bone in many different angles on your cage. An included screwdriver will allow you to remove and relocate the pin to where you need it most.
Best of all–when 2 are added to the front of the Full Metal Jacket or Hollow Point Pyxis cage, they lower the 15mm rods to the industry standard 85mm distance from Rod-to-Lens center. This allows for better use of rod mounted matte boxes with fixed height.
Inserting a 3/16″ to 1/4″ step down adapter will allow you to place your rods in even more unique positions on the cage. These are a great addition to an already great rig when using our 6″ and 3″ 15mm rods.

This version of our cage for the Blackmagic PYXIS 6K is dubbed the Hollow Point, and can accommodate all models of the PYXIS (EF/PL/L Mount). It features most of the same features as the Full Metal Jacket version--however the faceplate is removed to allow for the PL or EF mount of the PYXIS to pass through.
