Designed for cine-style image capture and covering up to full-frame size sensors that shoot up to 8K video, the 30mm T1.5 Cine Lens from IRIX incorporates multiple advanced internal and external design features. External features include a 95mm front diameter, 0.8 MOD gears, luminous focus marks in feet, and two locations to attach a 1/4″-20 support foot.
Internally, the 11-blade iris produces a smooth, rounded bokeh, and five seals protect against inclement weather and dust. To help eliminate aberrations and distortion, the IRIX 30mm T1.5 Cine Lens is constructed with an 11-blade iris, low focus breathing, and a protective nano-coating. This lens has 180° of focus and 75° of iris rotation, an 86mm front filter thread, and it includes front and rear caps.

The lens is resistant to rain, sand, and dust, so you can take it for your next adventure in a desert or jungle if your camera can handle those environments. Engraved markings on the lens have been filled with UV-reactive paint, so filming in difficult lighting conditions becomes much easier.
Modern Optics
Thanks to the lens’ refined optical system, your shots will come out with a low level of distortions and aberrations. The internal focusing system of the lens guarantees sharpness and the 11-blade iris provides a beautiful bokeh and a very smooth adjustment between T1.5 and T16. With very low focus breathing and close to the human field of view, the Irix 30mm Cine is a great lens for filming natural-looking scenes.
Functionality and Innovation
All Irix film lenses have very similar dimensions and weight, which allow for quick and easy lens changes without the need to change the rest of your setup. The product is equipped with a Magnetic Mounting System (MMS), which allows you to connect accessories such as magnetic filters from the Irix Edge line up or an optional lens hood.

Irix Cine 30mm has a front filter thread size of 95mm and geared 0.8 MOD rings, which ensures compatibility with most accessories available on the market.

Lightweight and Compact Design
The aluminum and magnesium alloy construction makes the lens housing weight only 2.4 to 2.6 lb. It has a front external diameter of 95mm for barndoors and accessories, an 86mm filter thread, and a front MMS (Magnetic Mount System) for rapid filter and hood replacement.
Improved Lens Cover
The previous lens cover didn’t allow for leaving the lens standing on a surface, so the improved cover has a flat top and slides on the lens. Thanks to this redesign, you can now leave the lens upside down on a table and not worry about it wobbling.
Magnetic Mount System
All the Irix Cine lenses (except Irix 11mm T4.3 lens) have a Magnetic Mount System (MMS) compatible with Irix Edge MMS filters and Irix MMS Lens Hood. The Irix Edge magnetic filters have a unique threadless design, so you can be sure that everything stays clean and ready for action. No more hesitating with dirty or dusty filter threads again. The MMS filter can be stacked together, allowing you to not only freely combine them but also saves a lot of space when stored. The MMS Lens Hood effectively protects the lens from unwanted light that can cause ghosting and flares. All of the Irix Edge MMS filters are made of hardened optical glass (SR), making them extremely robust. The filters’ surfaces are covered with a multilayer, antireflective coating with a special nano-coating that makes them easy to clean.
